How to Make Changes to an Employee Handbook?
Employee handbooks can be amended, but it’s got to be done in the proper method.
It’s not hard to do, but you have to do it uniformly. It’s got to be done to all employees at the same time and if you’re going to be taking away rights or that an employee may have by changes in the handbook, you’ll often have to give them some type of consideration in exchange for reduction in their rights.
It’s got to be done carefully and in a way that doesn’t adversely affect the employee only at the gain of the employer.
