There’s no such thing as a standard noncompete agreement. It’s entirely driven by the facts and circumstances that are involved in the relationship between the parties, both at the current time as well as when the agreement was signed. Whether there was proper consideration, whether the geographical range is too great or not great enough and whether the time restrictions are too great or not great enough.
All of those things have to be evaluated in each and every case.
