Hoffman Estates attorney Ronald J. Senechalle is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Ron received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law where he earned Dean’s List recognition, and worked as a legal extern with the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago. As a law student, Ron was also employed by the Legal Department of the Burlington Northern Railroad where he provided legal support for the corporation’s litigation and environmental lawyers. In 1986, Ron was admitted to practice before both the State and Federal Bars.
After law school, Ron joined his family’s law practice working on general litigation and real estate. Ron’s non-legal experience includes two years with R.V. Fitzsimmons & Associates, Inc., where he worked served local industry on environmental and regulatory compliance matters as a chemical technician and consultant. From 1995 to 1998, Ron was a member of the American Planning Association and served on the City of St. Charles Planning Commission where he was involved in the development, planning and zoning process on more than 2,500 home sites and over 300 acres of commercial development.
In 1995, Ron joined Pluymert, MacDonald, Hargrove & Lee, Ltd., where he is currently the managing attorney of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group. Ron concentrates in all areas of commercial and industrial real estate, including zoning and land use work. He also practices business and corporate law with an emphasis in banking.
As a Hoffman Estates lawyer, Ron has handled over $250 million in commercial real estate transactions, including shopping center transactions in excess of $50 million, the sale of a Fortune 500 company’s Illinois Headquarters, the acquisition and re-development of a 47-acre Milwaukee, Wisconsin lakefront property, a public golf course acquisition, CMBS Loan work-outs for over $12MM and agreements with national retailers, big box stores and numerous national restaurant chains and franchises. . Ron has also handled matters for not-for-profit organizations and has worked on a number of O’Hare expansion condemnation cases. As a published author and speaker on real estate issues, Ron has co-written Real Estate Development, Beginning to End, and was also a contributor on ADA building code issues for a National Building Code Association publication. Ron is currently a member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association where he was involved in drafting rule-making legislation on real estate lending. He is married and has a daughter and three sons.
